Day 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) - Drive to Arusha

Your adventure begins the moment you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be greeted with a warm welcome by our team, ready to escort you to your hotel in Arusha. After checking in, you’ll have a briefing on the incredible birding safari that lies ahead. Take a moment to unwind, explore the town, or relax by the pool.

Day 2

Arusha National Park

Today start your safari as we head to Arusha National Park, a paradise located at the foot of Mount Meru. Here, you’ll be greeted by Silvery-cheeked Hornbills and Pied Colobus monkeys in the lush forest. As we explore, keep an eye out for rare species like the African Crowned Eagle soaring above, and the majestic Grey Crowned Crane near the lakes. You’ll also spot the first of many African wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, and buffalos. The park’s diverse ecosystems are teeming with life, making for a truly enchanting birding experience.

Day 3

Tarangire National Park

After an early bird walk at your lodge, we head to the baobab-studded landscapes of Tarangire National Park. Day 4

Lake Manyara National Park

Our journey continues as we head to Lake Manyara National Park. This small but vibrant park is a birdwatcher’s dream, home to over 150 species in a single day. From flamingos to hornbills, the birdlife here is breathtaking. You’ll also witness the park’s famous tree-climbing lions and large herds of elephants. Afterward, we ascend to the cooler highlands, where you’ll unwind at a tranquil lodge surrounded by nature.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater Highlands

Today’s birding adventure takes us to the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. As we explore the hill forest, you’ll encounter a variety of special species like the African Broadbill and Schalow’s Turaco. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, where the surrounding gardens are alive with birds like the Green-headed Sunbird and Brown Parisoma.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

The highlight of your safari! A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater will offer unrivaled wildlife and birding experiences. Serengeti National Park

Flight from Serengeti to Arusha

Departure

Departure flights can be scheduled any time today. Breakfast is available at the hotel and you can bird the grounds of the lodge or relax by the pool before you take the short transfer to the airport for your international flight. Your journey concludes with a short transfer to the airport, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Africa’s birdlife and wilderness.
