Kenya Classic Safari

This 11-day safari offers you a full wildlife experience covering major destinations in Kenya. The tour covers Amboseli National Park, home of the largest herds of elephants, Lake Nakuru National Park home to rare white rhinos. Samburu National Reserve home to the special Five (beisa oryx, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, gravy zebra, and somali ostrich). Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake at the Rift Valley famous for its high population of hippos. Furthermore, explore the most prolific wildlife destination, the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve and finally the Tsavos home to various wildlife and iconic landscapes.

Itinerary

Day 1

NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA

Leave Nairobi at 8.00am via the Great Rift Valley for Maasai Mara National Game Reserve. Have a 15minutes stop over at the viewpoint. Arrive at the reserve in good time for lunch, check in the camp, refresh and proceed to for your afternoon game drive.

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2

FULL DAY AT MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Have a full day of game viewing. The reserve is rich in wildlife including the Black Maned Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Buffalo and many more wildlife specious can be found.

All meals and overnight at the camp.

Day 3

MAASAI MARA - NAKURU

After breakfast, leave Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru National Park is often described as the “World’s Greatest Bird Spectacle” due to the many pink flamingos and many other bird species. The tree climbing lions are also found here, herds of Buffalos, zebras, antelopes and many other wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at the camp/hotel.

Day 4

NAKURU - SAMBURU

After breakfast have enroute game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park to Samburu National reserve, it’s possible to see small game like Waterbuck, Impala, Rhino and Buffalo in the garden surroundings. Stop at Thompson falls, lunch and game drive en-route.

Dinner and overnight in Samburu.

Day 5

SAMBURU FULL DAY

You have the option of doing the Morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve or have a full day exploration of the reserve. Lunch and leisure break between 1:00pm and 4:00pm.

All meals and overnight in Samburu camp.

Day 6

SAMBURU/AMBOSELI VIA NAIROBI.

After breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park via Nairobi. Lunch and game drive en-route. Have evening game drive and Dinner and overnight at the camp in Amboseli National Park.

Day 7

AMBOSELI FULL DAY

06:30hrs: Proceed for an early morning pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast, a further game drive. A lunch and leisure break will follow. Evening game drive.

Day 8

AMBOSELI - TSAVO WEST

Early morning after breakfast proceed for your last game drive as you leave the camp for Tsavo West National Park. Game viewing and lunch en-route. On arrival in Tsavo, check in camp and relax. Have an evening game drive till late then have Dinner and overnight at Tsavo West.

Day 9

TSAVO WEST - TSAVO EAST

After breakfast, visit the Mzima Springs en-route to Tsavo East National Park where Hippos and crocodiles can be seen swimming in the clear waters. After game drive in Tsavo East National Park, check in lodge/camp.

Meals and overnight at camp.

Day 10

TSAVO EAST FULL DAY

After breakfast, explore Tsavo East National Park where you will see the other animals that you have not seen yet, like the lion, elephant and other big and small five. After game drive in Tsavo East National Park, check in lodge/camp.

Meals and overnight at camp.

Day 11

NAIROBI OR MOMBASA

08:30hrs: After breakfast proceed for an enroute game drive to Nairobi or to Mombasa as per your itinerary.
