Day 1

Arrival in Uganda

Your unforgettable wildlife and gorilla trekking adventure begins upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where your guide will warmly greet you. After a brief introduction, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to explore Uganda’s vibrant capital, visiting key sites like the Uganda Museum or the bustling markets. Enjoy a comfortable night at your chosen lodge, from luxurious options like Serena Hotel to more budget-friendly accommodations.

Day 2

Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park begins. The scenic 9–10-hour drive offers stunning views of Uganda’s rolling hills, picturesque farmlands, and lush greenery. You’ll make a stop at the Equator for a memorable photo opportunity, standing in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Lunch in Mbarara town is followed by a continued drive to Bwindi. Arrive at your chosen lodge, where you’ll unwind before preparing for the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure that lies ahead.

Day 3

Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Immersion

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from your expert guide before setting off into the dense forest to track the iconic mountain gorillas. The trek may take a few hours, but the reward is a close encounter with these incredible creatures. Watching them feed, communicate, and interact with their young is an experience like no other. Once you’ve spent quality time with the gorillas, return to your lodge to rest.

In the afternoon, you’ll go on a cultural walk, giving you the chance to learn about the local Bakiga and Batwa communities. You’ll interact with villagers, enjoy traditional dances, and witness fascinating performances by women’s or children’s groups, deepening your connection with Ugandan culture.

Day 4

Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, go on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. As you travel, keep an eye out for wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Upon reaching the park, enjoy a thrilling game drive through the savannah, spotting more animals, including lions, hyenas, and leopards.

In the afternoon, go on a two-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This boat ride offers a rare chance to witness the park’s rich birdlife and observe hippos, buffaloes, and crocodiles in their natural habitat. Day 5

Game Drive and Return to Kampala

On your final day, set out early for a game drive along the famous “Queen’s Mile” and the Kasenyi track. Look out for leopards, Uganda kobs, topis, warthogs, and an array of bird species. After a satisfying lunch back at the lodge, begin the journey back to Kampala, arriving in the evening.
