7 days Tanzania safari. This Tanzania safari takes you to the less visited southern circuit of wildlife destinations. These include Mikumi National Park and Ruaha National Park. Selous Game Reserve has abundant wildlife and offers superb wildlife experiences including boat cruises, Walking safaris, and game drives.

Itinerary

Day 1

NAIROBI-DAR-ES-SALAAM

Pick up and transfer to the airport for your flight to Dar-es-Salaam where upon arrival, you will be met by our Tanzania counterpart, and transferred to a hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2

DAR-ES-SALAAM – MIKUMI

After breakfast-08.00 hrs-drive to Mikumi National Park arriving on time for lunch. The park is situated in the Mkala plains and is dominated by hills and mountains.
The park is known as a smaller Jewel and it’s here that you are sure of seen) the rare wild dog and with a variety of wildlife games. A lot of elephants are seen time allowing, you can visit the aduzungwa mountain national park which has spectacular views of waterfalls fauna, and flora. Dinner and overnight at a nearby lodge or camp.

Day 3

MIKUMI-RUAHA

After an early breakfast drive to the second largest park in Tanzania the Ruaha National Park which is bordered by the Rucha River and on whose banks you are sure of scenes, large herds of elephant cheetahs, giraffes, lions, and the great kudu. Afternoon game drivers in the vast park where there is plenty of game to see. Dinner and overnight at a nearby lodge/ camp

Day 4

RUAHA – ISIMILIA

Walking is available after breakfast where you will be accompanied by a ranger. This should be pre-arranged the day before by your Driver guide. You can also visit the Isimilia pre-historic site where you will find real earth pillars that have weathered over centuries-dinner and overnight & nearby lodge/camp.

Day 5

ISIMILIA – SELOUS

After breakfast, drive to the largest game reserve in Africa-the serious game reserve. It is crossed by the Rufiji River and its tributaries which form a network of lakes for boating safaris. Game viewing is done for almost the whole day all the big five guaranteed.-lunch on the picnic site. After lunch another long drive to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

SELOUS

After breakfast, game walks with game rangers as your guide or game drive to shellers gorge where the Rufiji River and Rucha River meet. Fishing executions to Tagalala Lake are also available upon request-dinner and overnight and nearby lodge or camp.

Day 7

SELOUS – DAR-ES-SALAAM

After breakfast drives back to Dar-salaam with a picnic lunch en route dropped off at Your hotel or Airport.
