This unforgettable solo adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Moshi by our friendly, English-speaking guide. As you drive through the green foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro toward Materuni Village, the landscape gradually opens up into quiet countryside and coffee farms. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at the village office—and your journey into Chagga culture begins.

A scenic 40-minute walk leads you through lush vegetation and farmland toward the majestic Materuni Waterfalls. Along the way, your guide shares stories of Chagga traditions, village life, and local plants that have long been part of their way of living. The waterfall, cascading over 80 meters into a natural pool, is a breathtaking sight—and a refreshing swim is highly encouraged, so don’t forget your swimsuit!

After soaking in the beauty, you’ll return to Mama Agness’ home, where a traditional Chagga lunch awaits. Sit down to enjoy home-cooked local dishes, warm hospitality, and a taste of local banana beer—a true cultural treat.
