You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Arusha, a lively city set against the backdrop of Mount Meru and near the mighty Kilimanjaro. After breakfast, meet your guide and set off for Tarangire, a park known for its towering baobab trees and enormous elephant herds. Enjoy a game drive with picnic lunch en route. This is predator country — with abundant lions, cheetahs, and leopards alongside wildebeest and zebras. Settle into your riverside camp and soak in the wild sounds of the night.
These two full days are spent game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Follow the Great Migration, spot the Big Five, and witness iconic Mara River crossings (seasonal). Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see an abundance of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder but to spot, but are reasonably common with the park. Sunsets here glow orange across the plains, and our experienced guides bring the landscape to life with their storytelling and tracking skills.
After breakfast, drive to Nairobi via the Rift Valley town of Narok. Stop for lunch before arriving in the afternoon. We’ll transfer you to the airport for your flight home — heart full, memory card full, and soul deeply moved by Africa.
